UGP Prayer Chaplain Vision
Unity of Garden Park Prayer Chaplains are a spiritual support network, dedicated to radiating love to our spiritual home, our community and our world.
UGP Prayer Chaplain Mission
Our mission is to lovingly listen, hold sacred space, keep confidentiality and grow prayer consciousness by acting from the awareness of the Divine.
The Prayer Chaplain Commitment:
- Maintain a daily spiritual practice which is grounded in self-care, love, faith, prayer and gratitude.
- Hold a spiritual space of possibility for others and myself, knowing and trusting that God is in charge.
- Prayer both with myself and with others.
- Have and demonstrate a genuine interest in the well being of congregants and the other Prayer Chaplains.
- Serve during monthly Sunday worship services as Prayer Chaplain.
- Make phone contact with those who request prayer and emergency calls and visits when available.
- Maintain communication with the minister, team leader, and chaplain trainer on a regular basis.
- Attend meetings and training regularly.
- Be punctual and actively participate in all discussions.
